Hydrogeothermal Systems in the Zaghouan–Cap Bon Regions - The field trip will be organized in Zaghouan and Korbous Geopark region to visit the thermal springs, Cave, Karst which plays an important role in the conservation of the geoheritage due to their scientific and touristic interest. . Through this field trip we will visit the Korbous geothermal springs, Hammam Zriba spring, Hammam Jdidi and Jbel Oust thermal Station. We will also stop at Zaghouane water temple and its famous aqueduct built in the 2nd century BC (Roman period). To learn about petroleum and mining interest of the region, Barremian-Albian shale oil/gas systems associated or not with hydrothermal systems and mines in the region will be shown. |
